Check a Sacramento cash home buyer before you sign
Who publishes this: Pacific Home Buyers, a Sacramento cash home buyer. We compete with the companies on this site, so every fact here comes from a public record or the company's own site, and we say which.
Companies that buy houses for cash advertise all over Sacramento, from TV spots to mailers. The ads promise roughly the same thing. What separates the companies is in the public record, and it only takes a few minutes to look up.
This site does that legwork for some of the best-known names. Each page lists the state licenses on file, the BBB record, review counts on more than one site, and how the company says it makes offers. Where a fact comes from the company itself and we couldn't confirm it, we say so.

Why a cash buyer runs this site
We're Pacific Home Buyers, and we buy houses in Sacramento too. That makes us a competitor of every company on this site, and you should know that before you read a word of it. Federal rules don't let a business pass off its own site as an independent review site (16 CFR 465.6), and we'd rather you trust the sources than trust us.
So we stick to things you can check: license records from the Contractors State License Board and the Department of Real Estate, files from the Better Business Bureau, and review counts we read on the day noted on each page. We don't link to the companies we cover, and we don't rate them.
The short version
If you only have ten minutes, spend them on three lookups. Search any license the buyer mentions (contractors on the CSLB site, agents and brokers on the DRE site). Find the legal name behind the brand in the California Secretary of State business search. Then read the buyer's reviews on two different sites, starting with the newest. After that, a second written offer will tell you more than any of it.
