Bobby Peterson started it in 2015, and he holds a California real estate salesperson license with no disciplinary record. In early November 2026 the company had 4.9 stars from 108 Google reviews. The Better Business Bureau rates it A+ and shows one complaint in three years.

Who owns Bobby Buys Homes?

Bobby Peterson. His license is issued under his full name, Robert James Peterson. The BBB lists Robert Peterson as CEO and files the business under a second name too, BJP Properties, LLC.

The company's website fills in the background. He grew up in Sacramento, went to John F. Kennedy High School and studied business administration at Chico State. His first job out of school was selling insurance. Later he worked as an agent with Keller Williams Natomas, and he founded Bobby Buys Homes in 2015.

One small detail lines up neatly. The BBB gives May 14, 2015 as the day the business started, and the state issued his real estate license on that same day.

Is Bobby Buys Homes licensed?

Bobby Peterson is. The Department of Real Estate license lookup shows salesperson license 01975523 as licensed through May 31, 2027, and the record reads "no disciplinary action." It also names a responsible broker, South Hall Investors, Inc., at the same Truxel Road address as the company.

The service list names 15 places: Sacramento, Carmichael, Citrus Heights, Elk Grove, Folsom, Lincoln, Marysville, Modesto, Plymouth, Rancho Cordova, Rocklin, Roseville, Stockton, Vacaville and Yuba City. On Google, the office is open Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm and closed on weekends.

The only BBB complaint, from June 2026, was about marketing. A homeowner asked by phone to stop getting the company's mailers and then got another one.
